The answer I give is absolutely not! The EODD diet is also a detailed eating program that embraces alternate day calorie shifting principles.</p>
<p>Calorie shifting occurs when you change the amounts of calories significantly day after day. Your body will not know you are eating less calories and will continue to burn them at its normal rate. Add some additional exercise and your body will become a fat burning machine.</p>
<p>The Every Other Day Diet plan gives you several different plans to lose weight at different rates, but also gives you an exact eating plan so that you will be forced to succeed if you follow it. This eating plan is called SNAPP.</p>
<p>Of course there is the added benefit of being able to eat whatever you want at certain times as well. You are not limited at all of what you can eat. Just as long as you eat at the exact times the diet calls for. This is what helps people "cheat their way thin". If you are out and you see some awesome dish that you would literally die for you know you can eat it soon. This is the mental silver bullet that slayed other diets.</p>

<p><strong>1. Following the eating plan religiously:</strong> You should be adhering to  the eating plan exactly as outlined. If you are finding it hard then I have a few time tested tricks.</p>
<p>Carry a notebook around with you at all times. When you come across a major craving write it down in the notebook. You can then be sure to eat it on your feed day tomorrow. This will give you the power to beat back the craving and satisfy it at the same time.</p>
<p>Make two grocery lists. This is important so that you will have all the foods you need during burn days and all of the food for your family and feed days. By making two lists you will be sure to get the exact things you need for burn days and make your life easier.</p>
<p><strong>2. Water and lot's of it!.</strong> Drinking water has become the foundation of most diets. This is not by accident because it really can help you in several ways.</p>
<p>First and foremost it will help your body burn fat and keep your metabolism running at top speed.</p>
<p>Secondly it will stop food cravings and the general pain of hunger. I know you know that drinking water is important. but are you actually doing it? You better be if you really want to lose weight.</p>
<p><strong>3. Exercise.</strong> You need to be doing exercise regularly. If you have not increased your daily exercise from before you started the diet you are not going to get the benefits. Here are 2 ways to do it that helped me greatly:</p>
<p>Just add walking to what you already do. Yes it's that simple. Get out at the same time each day and walk for 20 minutes. Be sure you continue with whatever exercise you were doing originally though.</p>
<p>Get classy. Join a Zoomba or Yoga class. This will add a new element to what you already do. You can be sure that this will add a lot of calorie burning even if it is only a couple of times a week.</p>

<p>The truth is what we are all trying to accomplish while dieting is fat loss. Fat loss is losing fat and not burning away muscle. Many times people have dieted and lost weight, but still have not burned fat and maintained muscle mass.</p>
<p>A great analogy would be looking at a person who is shaped like a pear. You can all picture a pear in your mind right? Small at the head and then widening down to the bottom.</p>
<p>Many times people lose a bunch of weight only to find that they have become a smaller pear. The results are not what they were expecting.</p>
<p>The trick is to build or maintain your musculature and lose body fat. This will change your shape in a very pleasing way.</p>

<p>Probably the most humiliating part of the process is getting all fired up about some diet plan and spending time and money just to fail miserably. It can be a very crushing blow and cause depression and self hatred. I was on this vicious cycle for many years.</p>
<p>So when I found the EODD Diet plan I was somewhat skeptical to say the least. The one thing that really gave me hope was that this diet seemed to be aimed at people like me. People who have struggled for years and never been able to get it right.</p>
<p>I bought the program and read it in one night.</p>
<p>Then guess what I did? I tried it half heatedly for a week and gave up. No I didn't give up because the diet didn't work. I gave up because I was not ready to change anything in my "comfort zone".</p>
<p>In the past that would have been the end to it. In about six months I would have bought some other diet plan and went through the same routine I have done countless times before.</p>
<p>But something that I read in the EODD Diet stuck with me. If I couldn't make a diet work that allowed me to eat the things I craved regularly, how was I supposed to make any diet work?</p>
<p>I went back to the book and re-read it. I set a date to start and told every one of my close friends and relatives about that "D" date. I got all of my ducks in a row and prepared to give it a real try.</p>
<p>"D" day ended up being the day that my lifelong weight loss started. I have been going strong ever since.</p>
